The Historical Facts of Air Alpha 1995-2000

1995

The sales activities are separated into a new company, Air Alpha Aircraft Sales A/S.

1996

Air Alpha America Inc. is established with partners in USA. Air Alpha Aircraft Sales becomes the sole agent for Piper and Diamond aircraft in Scandinavia. A new business, dry-lease charter, is introduced.

1997

First contract with Greenland Home Rule Government. Two districts in East Greenland to be serviced by Air Alpha Greenland A/S on a 3 years contract. ExecuJet Scandinavia is established as a cooperation between ExecuJet South Africa and Air Alpha Aircraft Sales A/S.

1998

The founder of the company, and chairman of the board for 12 years, Poul Christensen, resigns. Two helicopter bases are established in East Greenland at Tasiilaq and Nerlerit Inaat/Constable Point.

1999

Alice Aviation is divided into a Piper Service Center for maintenance of piston aircraft and small helicopters and a department for servicing turboprops, larger helicopters and jet aircraft. Air Alpha A/S pulls out from the ExecuJet Scandinavia engagement. Air Alpha America Inc. is liquidated.

2000

Air Alpha Logistics is established as an independent business area placed under Alice Aviation. Unimount 4000 – a camera installation for helicopters invented and manufactured by Air Alpha – is presented. Air Alpha Greenland A/S is approved as JAR OPS 1 and 3 operator.
