The Historical Facts of Air Alpha 2001-

2001

The growth of the Air Alpha Group continues. Air Alpha Aircraft Sales A/S establishes an agency for Italian Piaggio Avanti turboprops in Scandinavia. The number of shareholders in Air Alpha exceeds 40, the number of employees is approx. 70 and the operation presents the best result ever in the history of Air Alpha. A new organization is implemented. Air Alpha Greenland A/S wins a tender, invited for by the Greenland Home Rule Government, and operates two helicopters on a 5 years contract in the Disco Bay area (West Greenland). Air Alpha Greenland A/S starts operating for Post Greenland with a Cessna C208B Grand Caravan on a 5 years contract, with bases in Ilulissat and Kangerlussuaq on the West coast.

2002

Air Alpha Maintenance A/S is established and takes over all activities in former Alice Aviation. Air Alpha Greenland A/S installs an operation coordinator in Tasiilaq on the East coast to manage the rapidly growing activities in the two districts serviced by Air Alpha Greenland. Air Alpha Greenland A/S deploys another Cessna Grand Caravan in the contract with Post Greenland.

2005

Establishment of a new business area, Air Alpha Charter. Opening of a Russian rep. sales office in Moscow, Russia.

2006

Sale of Air Alpha Greenland A/S to Air Greenland. Poul Lübbert resigns as Managing Director for the Air Alpha Group and is succeeded by Stig Naesh.

2007

Establishment of Air Alpha Latvia in Riga. New Norwegian main shareholder enters the group of owners.

2008

New Danish-Dutch main shareholder enters the group of owners. All helicopter machinery is sold to Norwegian ScanAviation in Stavanger. Acquisition of three companies: DFE (avionic company at Roskilde Airport, Denmark), Danish Aircraft Painting (located at Odense Airport), and Aviation Interior Center (also located at Odense Airport). Jesper Carvalho Andersen is appointed CEO of the Air Alpha Group (August), succeeding Stig Naesh.
